Interior designer Melike Turkoglu took the set design from the classic movie and brought it into the real space, creating a modern living room in the same style and making the love more accessible.
When sharing his experience of restoration, Melike says that color and style are the first things to go. Usually after the color is captured, matching the space objects with similar style, it can basically be copied very freely and even surpassed.

The Lord of the Rings" Hobbit House
When it comes to movie sets, there's no place more comfortable than the Hobbit's home.
Inspired by their love of books and food, Melike designed a modern version of the Hobbit House. This time, of course, it was designed for real humans. Out of practical necessity, the feel of their wooden huts was transferred to modern country home, and even apartment design.
The only difficulty, according to the designers, was adding a semi-circular inner wall to turn a large room into two separate spaces. Once this part was completed, the rest was easy.
For example, large latticed bookshelves create a sense of ambiance in the home by visually focusing the space all in one place.
While Hobbit windows, as a rule, are short and round, we humans tend to be a bit taller. Therefore, the hobbit's round design style was used in order to have plenty of light in the windows and to visually look more like a hut than a cell. A raised height was also used, creating a practical and homage effect.
Most importantly, the room has enough space to entertain guests who come to the party. Just like the hospitable Hobbits, it was also designed with enough dining space to add the feeling of magic shining into reality.

The gist of this design, besides following the color scheme, was to find old items from Parisian thrift stores. In particular, bohemian lifestyle items were used to showcase the elfin and eccentric, playful and lively.

The world has collapsed, humanity has been exhausted, in the world of blood and fire, people go through a brutal struggle for survival. In the endless barren desert, the protagonists Max and Feroxa build a fragile alliance, leading five women across the desert to the mysterious green land, seeking salvation and hope for life, and fighting to the death against the desert beasts.
As a big fan of Mad Max, Melike loved the original set design, a sun-tanned metal assembled together to form a rugged industrial style.
The circular windows bring in the desert sunlight, which is reflected in the colors of the design. In the movie, the dazzling sunlight is always present in the desert, which is presented in reality with a large circular window and kept the feeling of gravel in the color scheme.
Unlike the other rooms, this industrial living room contains almost no wood and most of the elements are metal. The designer's favorite is the Jeep side table to the left of the sofa, which has a post-apocalyptic feel.
