Founded in 1982, the Hong Kong Film Awards is a film program organized by the Hong Kong Film Awards Association. Together with the Golden Rooster Award and the Golden Horse Award, it is known as theone of the three most important awardsin Chinese film.In recent years, except last year's suspension, the Academy Awards has held a poster design competition for students every year.
On May 7, the organizers of the Hong Kong Film Awards announced the judging results of the 40th Hong Kong Film Awards Student Poster Design Competition.The first, second and third runner-up were won by Guo Cuiying of Hong Kong Design Institute, Liu Jiaer of Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and Yang Zixian ofHong Kong Community College.
This is the champion work of this competition. The designer Guo Cuiying introduced it like this:
This year is the 40th edition of the Academy Awards. As the end and the beginning of an era, I take "Looking Back. The Way I Come" as my idea. I hope that through this design, I will focus on the efforts made by predecessors for the film industry, and reviewvarious past experiences.The so-called "do not forget the original intention, we will always be forever", only by keeping our original intention in mind, can we take this to blaze a path that belongs to Hong Kong cinema.On the otherhand,the design of "40" combines slashes, exclamation marks and brackets to express the diversity, surprise and inclusiveness that a film should be.
It is reported that the top three award-winning works were selected by a jury composed of Xu Xun and Ye Suwen of the Hong Kong Designers Association, and Lin Ziqiao and Dai Wenrui of the Hong Kong Film Art Society.
