"I first became interested in graphic design by looking through magazines, collecting sneaker boxes, saving my favorite wrapping paper of Japanese sweets, and collecting appendix stickers. Later, when considering my future career path, I decided to study what I was interested in and enjoyed, and thus enrolled in the University of the Arts, which led me to encounter the world of various designs." Keisuke Ida, who is from Hiroshima, confesses. He graduated from the Department of Design Information at Musashino Art University, one of Japan's top art universities. After working for a while in Sato University's design studio, he joined DODO DESIGN Co. in 2017 to start his design activities and became increasingly active. Joji Dodo, the art director, has described him as a "superbly interpreted designer". The basis for this comment is time and effort. Ida also shared his experience with us.

I was impressed by his studies at Musashino Art University. "There was a course called "Anatomy of Design" in the design information department I was studying at the time, and as a guest lecturer for this course, Takashi Sato was invited to give us a lesson. I still vividly and clearly remember feeling the aura of a superb designer active at the forefront of the field up close. It gave me a feeling of having touched design for the first time. To this day, I am still grateful to Mr. Sato at that time." In addition to Anatomy of Design, Ida also praised the discipline's basic courses: "Since I was originally interested in graphic design, I enjoyed the basic courses on graphic design and type design, which are taught by graphic designers who are actually active in the field, and I could feel that my world had become wider through studying them. In addition, I was also responsible for the display of my subject's subject course booth at the campus open house. Of course, this may have something to do with my more active engagement."

After graduating as a designer, Ida opened her tentacles like a plant to take in a wide range of nutrients from the environment. At the same time, he also actively uses it as an output energy to continuously renew his creations. "Fisui Sugiura's 'Fisui Hundred Flowers', Shigeo Fukuda's 'VICTORY-1945', Takuya Onuki's 'Laforet Series ', 'Hundred Figures of the Human Body' by Mr. Daigo Ohkuro, and I can't think of any other examples." When talking about his favorite works, he expected to start the introduction of his own works, but instead, Ida first cited a number of designers and works that impressed him. After that, he said slowly, "Among some of the work I've been involved in, one of my favorites is a product called 'From AQUA' for JR Water Business.

It was a drinking water product sold in JR stations, and I was honored to be chosen to design a product of such a large scale. The reason why I think this work is not bad is that I think it successfully captures what we want people to feel through the design. Sometimes when I see it in a vending machine, I get a little happy."

In addition to AQUA, Ida worked as a designer on the Sangetsu Space Creation Park project and designed the logo for Health Graphic Magazine, a free magazine with an impressive circulation of 150,000 copies per issue. The logo design for "Health Graphic Magazine", a free magazine with a circulation of 150,000 copies per issue, and other works also fully reflect his definition of one of the elements of good design: "A visual communication that feels simple and thoughtful in a simple visual expression is attractive." In a way, Ida is also a designer who emphasizes intuition. "I would be attracted to designs that make a good first impression. It is also believed that designers should have the ability to be able to convey that kind of appeal. Of course, rationality and production intent are also very important, or indispensable. However, it is most necessary to have the ability to convey a certain kind of appeal, so that even without knowing the work, without having to explain it, the person looking at it can feel its splendor."

Speaking of the present, Inouye says, "Today we are in an age where we are overwhelmed by all kinds of information. It is possible to immediately look up and find out some of the content that interests us. I think this 'act of de-cognition' is very important for designers. However, I always feel that it is still not enough to just know or explain what you know, there needs to be an energy that makes it into an attractive form that can make it more attractive to be good."
