We walk the road of life.

anxiously, choosing, living carefully.

Busy looking for shortcuts in life

But then we run to the same end.

Life, "to die and live".

On this special heavy day of Ching Ming Festival

We share 11 designers'

The "design for death" works, to remember the dead life

After the rain rainbow tombstone

Designer: aliaya kish

The idea of Japanese designer Aya Kishi is to have a prism in the middle of the tombstone, so that when the rain clears and the sun shines again, the tombstone will project a beautiful rainbow on the ground.

图片

The principle is simple: the designer placed a prism in the middle of the tombstone, through which light is refracted, creating a dispersion effect and forming a rainbow-like visible spectrum. The designer hopes that this will help people feel less sad after losing a loved one.

Digital Cemetery

Today, with the rapid development of technology, if we completely leave behind the physical forms such as tombstones and urns, in what ways should we remember and memorialize the departed and continue our thoughts?

图片 图片

Israeli designer Hadas Anon has designed a cemetery that is not traditionally meant to be a digital cemetery, but rather a place where the dead can be mourned and remembered for a long time. The family and friends of the deceased can collect all the electronic data they wish to keep in a memory chip in the shape of a tombstone.

图片

The memories will be brought together in a memorial, and a quick computer search will also be available to find the location of the chip needed to bring it into a separate memorial room to look back on the good times and thus deal more positively with the loss and heal the hurt.

The Sky - Among the Clouds" Urn
Designer: Yang Wanli

The designer takes the pure white clouds as the carrier and gives them the function of an urn. The shape and symbolic features appropriately avoid the taboo and fear of the traditional urn.

图片

Imagine when a child asks, "Mom, where did Grandma go?" At this point the mother can romantically answer the child, "Gone to the clouds, she lives in the sky."

The designer said, "My original intention of designing this urn is to let people's infinite memorials to the deceased be released through a warm and romantic way, which is no longer a simple design to solve the functional problem, but to transform people's concept of death."

Family Tree "Family Tree"

Designers: Loucas Papantoniou, Asta Sadauskait

The idea of Lithuanian designers Loucas Papantoniou and Asta Sadauskaite, "Family Tree" is actually a design that combines a family tree and an urn into one, each urn is in the shape of a beehive and can be fixed to the wall through a matching bracket, turning it into a memorial wall. Each urn is honeycomb-shaped and can be fixed to the wall with a matching bracket, turning it into a memorial wall and showing the relationship between the deceased. In addition, there is an OLED display on the face of the urn, which shows the name and profile of the deceased, and can display messages sent from the cell phone.

The urn is made of lightweight concrete with an OLED display. Whenever someone passes by, the display emits a serene glow and shows a short memorial message, as if to tell those left behind, "We are still here, we will always be here."
