Super ASolo exhibition site“The Other Way Around”，2022，MOAH
The latest solo exhibition of Dutch artist Super A recently opened at the Lancaster Museum of Art and History (MOAH) in California, USA, showing more than 20 new works. The artist also specially created 2graffition the wall of the museum.Super A (real name Stefen Thelen) is a well-known graffiti and contemporary artist from the Netherlands, well-received for his most well-known Trapped series.The Trapped series is to use various protagonists from cartoons, movies, fairy tales and other works to reveal their illusory appearance in a very dreamy way, revealing the core and truth of things.

In this solo exhibition "The Other Way Around", Super A extends his "magic grasp" to Hayao Miyazaki's classic animations. In the new works, you can see "My Neighbor Totoro", "Spirited Away", "Princess Mononoke", etc.The main characters in the animation are revealed to be their true skins. For example, in the work "The Fifth Month", the children under the cartoon skins are still in love with cats and chinchillas.

Other works are from American classic cartoons such as Toy Story, Looney Tunes, The Little Mermaid, etc. These images full of childhood memories have been restored by the artist to their original realistic models, whether human or animals.
