Recalling the days when you couldn't travel at will, the simple desire to go out, go to nature, and go to the wilderness is growing stronger in many people's hearts. The balcony has become the last place for many people who are sealed off at home. Some people grow flowers, some people fill them with succulents, and some people choose to grow vegetables.
Ukrainian artist Anna Paschenko uses flat, round metal frames, resin materials and mirrors to create interior nature.
Ferns are integrated with various types of moss and branches picked while traveling to condense nature into frames ranging from 4 inches to 23.6 inches in diameter.
Not everyone is lucky enough to live by the sea or near the forest, but Anna Paschenko's work may give you the pleasure of seeing nature anytime, anywhere.

Forest and Ocean in Metal and Resin Frame
The most common of Anna Paschenko's works are lush forests and seas as clear as blue sky.
She uses layers of epoxy resin to create a very characteristic masterpiece - a swirling marine painting of a seascape. As it pours, the ocean creates a fascinating wave-like pattern.
Anna Paschenko explains, "Epoxy resins are two-component systems consisting of a resin and a hardener. By mixing the two components, a chemical reaction occurs that gradually hardens the liquid resin into a solid plastic."
In addition to Resin Ocean, Paschenko also makes Forest series. Use moss, black sand and pebbles to create miniature dirt terrains within a flat, round metal frame, then add some branches you picked from your own travels.
Do not underestimate these branches, it is the source of inspiration for each fresco, while also ensuring the uniqueness of these works.
Each finished piece looks lifelike, as if you were an observer from God’s perspective, looking down at a certain side of the earth from a distance, imagining the creatures that lived in the vast forests and deep oceans.
In one piece, Paschenko even designed a small model home nestled among lush foliage, a detail she thought would enrich the work by re-engraving it, as observed on a nearby beach.
In the combination series of ocean and forest, she used black sand to create the coastline, capturing the fleeting beauty of turbulent waves.
These pieces are not only artistically pleasing, but also have little to do with wear and tear and are virtually maintenance-free. Ferns in mural art need grow lights, fertilizer or watering to keep their shape and color for up to 5 years, and moss for up to 10 years. All you need to do is hang them on the wall and admire their beauty.

Dreamlike nature in the mirror
Having seen Anna Paschenko's Nature in Mirror series, you will definitely agree that mirrors are not only tools used to organize your appearance, but mirrors can also be used in interior design to enhance the beauty of a space.
Epoxy resins are two-component systems consisting of a resin and a hardener," explained the artist. "By mixing the two components, a chemical reaction occurs that gradually hardens the liquid resin into a solid plastic.
Using the combination of translucent liquid properties and the reflective properties of mirrors, supplemented by matching plants, a dream-like mirror world can be created.

Herbarium and Succulent Pendants
In addition to interior products, Paschenko also seals embossed and botanical products between two sheets of glass and two millimeter mirrors, cutting them into different shapes of high-gloss pieces, much like herbarium, which are highly decorative and more portable .
She also makes succulent pendants and ocean pendants, using very fine craftsmanship to frame plants in the pendants, so that wherever you go, you can take the forest and the ocean with you.

Elf-like forest life
Since 2016, Paschenko has been running this studio in Ukraine and has slowly developed his own artistic style.
Natural, forest, unique.
From her social media accounts, it is not difficult to find that she really loves nature and knows how to appreciate the beauty of nature.
She has short ear-length hair, and her tail is dyed blue. The studio is as beautiful as a garden, and she lives an elves-like forest life.
In addition to her work, her studio is also dedicated to promoting a natural way of life, and she regularly teaches classes on making wall hangings. The arriving students sat around the table and immersed themselves in the interaction with nature, feeling and replicating the beauty of nature with soil, moss and succulent.
Since 2022, the Russian-Ukrainian war broke out. Paschenko, who has always focused on natural art creation and is not too concerned about politics, decided to launch a fundraising campaign. A Ukrainian, she spoke out for her homeland, announcing an auction of her studio work, with all the money raised going to the military on the front lines.
What does nature really mean to a person? Compared with the hustle and bustle of the city, nature is more quiet, there may be many inconveniences to live in it, and you have to do many things yourself. Perhaps the philosophy contained in "cultivating and harvesting by yourself" has the power to heal people's hearts for modern people.
Anna Paschenko's work reminds us that living in the city still does not forget the nature with which we are deeply connected.
