"Bamboo Star" bamboo lantern art installation is a temporary installation specially created for the "Haystack Tribe Art Season" held by Donghushan Art Museum in Huangmei Xianglu Mountain Village, Hubei Province. It is a lighting art installation assembled from ready-made products. The inspiration for the creation comes from a daily necessities used by local villagers when washing vegetables: this utensil is hand-woven using the local material-bamboo. The author hopes that through such a daily necessities that make foreigners feel curious and make locals feel friendly, to reflect the local villagers' village culture of taking local materials and adapting to local conditions, and then presenting the poetic and picturesque scenery of Huangmei Village, re-establish the relationship between people and people, The relationship between people and the environment.

How to preserve the natural environment of the countryside in the process of rapid development is an important issue facing all rural constructions today. The grouped bamboo lanterns are like magnified reeds, making people feel the power from nature.

When we were making the works, when every villager saw this bamboo basket, they seemed to have seen old friends who had been away for a long time, and they talked to us with relish about their past life. Therefore, the inside of the container that looks empty now is actually full of memories of that era. During the production, the author also installed LED solar lights in the bamboo basket, so whenever night falls, the bamboo basket will be lit, and this form can also evoke good memories of the past.
