Inspired by the actual surrounding landscape of the Plain of Saint-Denis (northern Paris suburb). A broken assemblage overlaps buildings of varying proportions and materials, creating a poetic universe, sometimes surprising, cut by the void, allowing the sky to invade almost all the landscape.

The new police station is located on the site of an old winery and is the result of an architectural competition that originally announced the construction of the museum. When the building was 80% complete, the government decided to retrofit the building to suit its current use. Surrounded by inconspicuous surroundings of sports buildings, lime walls and open spaces, the building is closed to the exterior with a set of abstract and intense volumes. The different volumes are separated by slender courtyards that give glimpses into the central space of the building.

The designers wanted to try to break away from the existing architectural paradigm of contemporary police stations, as they feature opaque, secure and fenced compounds. Instead, the police department has focused on truly public community buildings: attractive, accessible, and part of the civic fabric of the community. The aim is to reinforce Victoria Police's vision for a more open and interactive approach to contemporary policing.

The police station is a new effort by the city of Medellin and the national police organization to change the image of these buildings in the community, making them a model for the institution to be closer to the people. Taking the architectural concept of "Public buildings should be the ICON of the community" as the manifesto, the building brings the protagonist into the landscape, becoming not only the ICON of the community, but also the ICON of the city where public buildings are being built, creating a sense of belonging for residents, above all, the building becomes a platform for countries and citizens to have different cultural, civic and recreational spaces.
