The unique coastal style of Guangdong is the source of inspiration for the design of the Binhai Cultural Park. Typical features such as steep coastlines, rolling meadows, promontory, meandering creeks and reflecting ponds have been reinterpreted in the design, which is a response of the SWA landscape design team to the culture of the park’s location, exclusive to the park’s” "Ocean Landscape" also came into being. The design team hopes to redefine the relationship between people and water in Shenzhen's Shanhai City through the "Ocean Landscape" in the park; make full use of the "Water of the Bay" in Qianhai Bay to create an open waterfront and rich viewing space, allowing people to Enjoy the unique and magnificent bay view from different angles; the "interactive water" is created inside the site, and a "water streamer" is introduced to maximize the hydrophilic interface, and combine functions to create different characters, making the water more interactive and accessible.

"Following the trend of reconnecting cities and waterfronts around the world, designers are assessing sea level rise, urban density, the need for public space, and rethinking how to better unlock the potential of coastal landscapes." Executive SWA Group David Thompson, director, fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architecture, and landscape architect of the Happy Harbor Waterfront Cultural Park, said, "Here, the city is integrated with nature, serving the needs of citizens, and respecting the relationship with nature."

The 128-meter-high "Light of the Bay Area" Ferris wheel on the east side of the park is the dreamiest existence in Happy Harbor and a new urban landmark in Shenzhen. Dasha River Ecological Corridor: Dialogue between People and the River

It is a unique blessing for a city to have a river that runs through the city. Throughout the ages, the beauty and prosperity, civilization and dreams brewed between famous cities and rivers are countless. Dasha River is such a "mother river" that inherits the memories of Shenzhen Nanshan residents. In order to improve the river landscape and make people closer to the water, the Shenzhen Municipal Government re-planned the Dasha River in 2018 and created the Dasha River Ecological Corridor. Along the riverbank are Dasha River Park, Jiuxiangling Wetland Park and Hetanglang. Key nodes and important areas such as the junction of mountains and mountains. "We focus on the creation of the riverbank environment, and are committed to creating a river that inherits a long history, demonstrates local vitality, and helps the harmonious development of urban ecology and economy." said Yang Enze, design manager of the Dasha River Ecological Corridor.

In Yang Enze's view, the Dasha River in Shenzhen carries a strong historical memory along with the city's growth and laughter. "We believe that everyone has a Dasha River in their hearts; we hope that through the remodeling of the landscape, the citizens can regain the good times of the past and reshape the city's 'nostalgia'." To this end, he led the team to dig deep into the history of the Dasha River and grasp the The experience of participants, understanding the needs of people and the environment, and promoting the dialogue between people and nature. In Dashahe Park, the sidewalks along both sides of the river have been greatly lowered, opening the river viewing surface from sight; the isolation fence and street trees beside the original river have been re-arranged as open spaces, so that people can enter the park without obstacles for rest and walks ;The landscape is mainly composed of comb forest and grassland, combined with ornamental grasses such as Pennisetum and Capsella, to add fresh and natural interest; and create different types of activity places along the river, visitors can watch the water, enjoy the water, and play in the water according to their own preferences.

In the Xili area in the middle reaches, the design attractions are mainly characterized by urban forests, lush and lush, with birds singing and flowers fragrant, so that people can regain the memory of the old rivers; in the Shenzhen Bay at the exit of the Dasha River, there is a high-tech industrial park.
